6.61% voting in Maharashtra till 9 am: Nitin Gadkari, Sharad Pawar appeal to vote, Baba Siddiqui’s son Zeeshan, Akshay Kumar and Rajkumar Rao cast their votes

Voting is being held in a single phase for 288 seats of Maharashtra Assembly today. Election will start from 7 am and will end at 6 pm. 

6.61% Election was recorded in Maharashtra till 9 am. Gadchiroli had the highest voter turnout at 12.33% and Osmanabad had the lowest voter turnout at 4.89%.

Film industry celebs Akshay Kumar, Rajkummar Rao, Farhan Akhtar came to vote. Sachin Tendulkar also cast his vote at a polling station in Mumbai with his family and appealed to people to come out of their homes and fulfill the responsibility of voting. 

NCP Ajit Pawar’s leader Baba Siddiqui’s son Zeeshan said – This is the first time I have come to vote alone, I went to my father’s grave in the morning. Father is with me.

Election  is being held in a single phase for 288 seats in Maharashtra. The results will be out on November 23.

Clash between voting Mahayuti and Mahavikas Aghadi

After the split between the Shiv Sena and the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), a total of 158 parties are in the fray. 

Out of these, 6 major parties are contesting the elections as part of two alliances. The Shinde faction’s Shiv Sena and Ajit Pawar’s NCP are part of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led Mahagathbandhan. 

While the Congress, Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena (UBT) and Sharad Pawar’s Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Chandra Pawar) i.e. NCP (SP) are part of the Maha Vikas Aghadi.
