Former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh passed away on Thursday night. He was 92 years old. The former PM had been ill for a long time. He was brought to Delhi’s AIIMS at 8.06 pm after falling unconscious at home.

According to the hospital bulletin, he was admitted to the emergency ward, where he breathed his last at 9:51 pm. The last rites will be performed with state honours.

Manmohan Singh became the 14th Prime Minister of the country in 2004. He completed two terms in the post until May 2014. He was the country’s first Sikh and the fourth longest-serving Prime Minister.

The central government has declared 7 days of national mourning due to the death of pm. A cabinet meeting has been called at 11 am. Also, all the programs scheduled for Friday have been canceled.
