The US Senate on Thursday approved the appointment of Kash Patel by a margin of 51-49. In addition to the Democratic Party MPs, two Republican MPs, Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski, voted against Patel.

Parents born into a Gujarati family fled Uganda

Kash Patel is the son of Indian immigrants. He was born into a Gujarati family. Kash Patel’s parents fled to the United States via Canada after Ugandan ruler Idi Amin ordered them to leave the country in the 1970s. Patel’s father got a job with an airline after he became a U.S. citizen in 1988.

After completing his law degree in 2004, Patel started working as a government lawyer when he couldn’t find a job at a major law firm. However, he had to wait 9 years for the job he wanted.

Kash Patel joined the Justice Department in Washington in 2013. After three years there, in 2016, Patel was appointed as a staff member on the House Intelligence Committee, headed by David Nunes, a staunch Trump ally.

Kash Patel is originally from Bhadran, and even today, land is in the name of his father and grandfather.

Kashyap Kash Patel is originally from Bhadran. His ancestral house was in Mahadevwala Phalia in Bhadran village. His grandfather Rameshbhai Patel had gone to Uganda, Africa, about 70 to 75 years ago and settled there. After the persecution of Idi Amin, his family fled to Canada and from there to America. He has sold his ancestral house in Mahadevwala Phalia in Bhadran village of Borsad taluka. Currently, there is open land at that place. Also, there are ancestral lands of his paternal grandfather on the outskirts of Bhadran village, in which the names of Kashyap Patel’s father and grandfather are still mentioned.

There is an atmosphere of excitement in Bhadran village regarding this appointment. The chest of the villagers is swelling. Regarding this, Yashbhai Patel, a resident of Bhadran village, said that Kashyap Patel is our family brother. My grandfather and his grandfather were cousins. Their lands are also currently located in Bhadran. The house they had has been sold. This is a very proud moment for our entire family and clan as our family brother has been appointed as the director of the FBI.

According to a New York Times report, as President, Trump pressured Ukraine to gather information about Joe Biden’s son in 2019. This angered the opposition. Kash Patel continued to climb the ladder of success after joining the Trump administration in 2019. He stayed in the Trump administration for only 1 year and 8 months, but came to everyone’s attention. In a report in The Atlantic magazine, Patel has been described as someone who was ready to do anything for Trump.

In the Trump administration, where almost everyone was already loyal to Trump, he was counted among Trump’s most loyalists. This is why many officials feared him.
