Today is the 25th day of Prayagraj Mahakumbh. Till 10 am, 48.70 lakh people had taken bath. Since January 13 till now, 40 crore devotees have taken bath. Today, entry is being given to nearby vehicles and bikes in the fair. Vehicles are being parked in the parking lot before the fair.
The Judicial Commission, which is probing the stampede at Sangam on the night of Mauni Amavasya (January 29), has sought information from the public. People can submit their information and affidavits to the Judicial Commission within 10 days at Room No. 108 of the Secretariat at Janpath Market, Lucknow, e-mail mahakumbhcommission@gmail.com and phone number 0522-2613568. A 3-member Judicial Commission team has been formed to investigate the Mahakumbh stampede. The team also inspected the site of the incident.
Many VVIPs are coming to the Mahakumbh to take a dip in the Sangam today. Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini will take a dip in the Sangam with his family and delegation. Apart from this, Bihar Governor Arif Mohammad Khan, Tripura Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu, Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh, Union Minister Ramdas Athawale, BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad, Rajya Sabha MP Arun Singh, Ministers from Odisha, Jharkhand and Madhya Pradesh and many others are also coming to take a dip in the Sangam and perform Ganga Puja.
Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn’s sister-in-law, actress Kajol’s sister Tanisha Mukherjee, took a dip in the Sangam. On Wednesday, PM Narendra Modi reached the Mahakumbh and took a dip in the Sangam. During this, CM Yogi was also present with him. On Wednesday, Sadhvi Satyapriya Giri was made Mahamandaleshwar by Niranjani Akhara. Sadhvi Satyapriya Giri’s abhishek was done in the presence of five gurus.
