Modi said- BRICS represents 40% humanity and 20% economy

PM Modi welcomed the new countries during his address. He said the new format represents 40% of the world’s humanity and about 20% of the economy. 

The organization has achieved many achievements in the last two decades. I hope that summit will emerge as a more effective vehicle for global challenges.

PM Modi said summit in new form is more than 30 trillion dollar economy. He is able to face all challenges.
Modi said that UPI payment is a big achievement for India. India is ready to share UPI system with summit countries. Other countries have also adopted it.
He also invited the summit countries to join the Mission Life, Ek Pad Ma Ke Naam campaign.

A close plenary meeting of Summit was held in Kazan, Russia on Wednesday. In which Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that there is no place for double standards on terrorism.

He said BRICS countries have to come together and face this. He also talked about reforming the UNSC. He said that India is ready to welcome new countries into summit.

Modi will meet Chinese President Xi Jinping shortly. After the announcement of de-escalation of tension along the Line of Actual Control (LAC), the two will hold bilateral talks. 

This will be the first bilateral meeting between the two leaders since the Galwan clash in 2020.

PM Modi will soon address the open plenary meeting. After this he will also hold bilateral talks with the leaders of many countries. After this PM will leave for India today itself.
Modi arrived in Kazan on Tuesday afternoon to join Summit. At night he met Russian President Putin. Modi also invited Putin to India for the annual summit next year.
On Tuesday, Putin hosted a dinner for the Summit leaders. Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping attended a musical concert with Putin. Meanwhile, Putin was sitting in the middle and PM Modi and Xi Jinping were on the chairs on either side.

Xi Jinping said - pressure needs to be created to stop the war

Chinese President Xi Jinping said the world is going through turbulent changes. We need to build a peaceful Summit.
We must insist on a ceasefire in Gaza and Lebanon. On the Ukraine war, he said that we have to find a solution to the crisis soon.
Xi Jinping said that we need to increase economic cooperation between us. Also the representation of Global South countries has to be increased.
China wants to increase cooperation with Summit countries for green industry, clean energy and green minerals.

Putin said - BRICS is an association of good neighbor countries

Putin said that the Global South has a big role to play in bringing the Summit countries together. Summit is an association of good neighbours.
Putin said more than 30 countries have expressed their desire to join Summit. It will be discussed in the meeting.
Putin also said that the world will no longer be ruled by a few countries. This is growing like a multipolar world order.

The President of Russia said in the meeting, “We have such relations with you that it does not seem that there will be a need for translation.” Hearing this, all the people present in the meeting started laughing. 

He further said that, ‘We consider the ongoing cooperation between Russia and India to be very important. Both countries are original members of Summit . 

Russia and India have a special strategic partnership. This relationship will continue to grow. Our foreign minister is in constant touch. Our business is also progressing.
