Team India’s middle-order batsman Shreyas Iyer described the victory against Pakistan as good. India defeated Pakistan by 6 wickets in the fifth match of the Champions Trophy on Sunday.
In Dubai, Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat. The team was all out for 241 runs in 49.4 overs. India chased the target in 42.3 overs, losing 4 wickets.
“I haven’t played a single match in Pakistan yet, so I don’t know how it feels there. But it was a neutral venue and it was challenging for both teams. Any win against Pakistan is good because the match is always competitive,” shreyas said in a post-match press conference.
He further said, ‘This is a big challenge because there is a lot of pressure. It was my third match against Pakistan, I enjoyed it a lot.’
Virat has a hunger for runs.
Kohli scored an unbeaten 100 in this match. Virat scored his 51st century in ODIs and 82nd century in international cricket.
Praising him, Iyer said, “I never felt that Virat was struggling for runs. He is always hungry for runs. I remember he came an hour before us for practice before this match. He was in great form as usual in this.”
